Variography

Overview

This section provides a summary of the Variography submenu and its available options.

Variogram Model Types

This section provides you with information on the available variogram model types.

Directional Variography

The Directional Variography option to calculate variograms where the geometrical parameters can vary for each direction.

Create Variogram

The Create Variogram option to define the parameters from which experimental variograms are generated.

Cube

The Cube option allows a different way of computing and displaying variography data. Instead of computing variography in radially defined cones, the variography is computed in cubes.

Cube Editor

The Cube option allows a different way of computing and displaying variography data. Instead of computing variography in radially defined cones, the variography is computed in cubes.

Block Model Variogram

The Block Model Variogram option to generate variograms using one or more block model variables. The same variogram modes that are available for databases can be used for block models.

Auto Fit

The Auto Fit option assists you in finding the best fit mathematical model (variogram function) for the generated experimental variograms.

Display

The Display option to display experimental and model variograms on the screen.

Multi Display

The Multi Display option allows you to display and compare several experimental variograms against a variogram model.

Output

The Output option to output the currently displayed variograms to a nominated Variography Display Parameters file and/or a PostScript file.

Edit

The Edit option to view the results from the auto fitting process and edit these results.

Zonal

The Zonal option to convert a model variogram that has different sills in different directions (zonal structure) to the standard variogram model structure.

Remove

The Remove option to remove all variograms from the screen.
