Drilling menu contents
This section provides a summary of the Drilling submenu and its available options.
Use the Open Database option to open a drillhole database, so that drillhole data can be graphically displayed.
Use the Load Drillholes option to load drillholes onto the screen.
Use the Remove Drillholes option to remove all drillholes.
Use the Multiple Trace Display option to display one or more traces alongside a drillhole while in section view.
Use the Selection Filter option to create or, if applicable, edit selection filters that can be used to select subsets of drillhole database objects for loading or reporting purposes.
Use the Report Filter option to create or edit a filter that can be used to report on a subset of records from database objects.
Use the Run Report option to generate database reports based on the selection and report filters. The select filter selects the required objects from the database, and the report filter selects the required data from these objects.
Use the Flag option to insert values into drillhole intercepts according to each intercept"s position relative to a set of triangulations.
Use the Register option to register (project) drillhole collars onto a triangulation.
Use the Model option to create a grid or triangulation model from displayed drillholes containing a specified data value in any field of the drillhole database.
Use the Mapfile option to load databases or ASCII mapfiles containing drillhole locations as a layer into the current Vulcan window.
Use the Bench Plans option to create automatically slices through an area containing a block model, pit design or contours and generate mine reserves.
Use the Identify option to display, in the Report Window of Vulcan, collar information on a nominated drillhole.
Use the Label On option to label nominated drillholes with a single field from the drillhole database.
Use the Multi-Label On option to label nominated drillholes with multiple fields from the drillhole database. Each label can be coloured using a colour legend from the drillhole scheme, or through colours specified on the panel.
Use the Multi-Label Properties option to set the font and, if applicable, the font size for use by the Multi-Label On option and whether or not to annotate non-logged intervals.
Use the Label Off option to remove labels from selected drillholes.
Use this option to label displayed drillholes within a specified selection radius.
Use this option to remove labels from displayed drillholes within a specified selection radius.
Use the Toggle Disc Display option to display or remove the drillhole discs that have been applied to the loaded drillhole traces.
Use the Colour option to change the displayed colour legend of a nominated drillhole.
Use the Composite option to display a "length weighted average" for numeric data over a nominated drillhole interval as shown below.
Use the Intersect option to display and highlight the points at which a drillhole intersects a triangulation or specified elevation. This allows you to plot intersections of drilling with underground openings.
Use the Selection Properties option to display highlighted drillhole intercepts when selecting corresponding drillhole records in an Isis table.
Use the Data Tips option to define what fields you want to appear in data tips when hovering over a drillhole.
Use the Load Structures option to load the structural data of any drillhole in the drillhole database so that the data can be viewed.
Use the Load Desurvey option to load the downhole survey data of any drillhole in the drillhole database so the data can be viewed, edited and reported.
Use the Edit Desurvey option to insert, move or delete downhole survey points.
Use the Report Desurvey option to generate a report file, containing downhole survey measurements by depth, for the loaded hole.
