Cost Estimation Specification
Use this tool to define the estimated drilling costs. The specification file is used to calculate the cost estimation of planned drillholes in the Cost Estimator panel of the Create Drillholes or Edit Drillholes tools.
Instructions
On the Geology menu, point to Drillhole Planning, then click Cost Estimation Specification to display the following panel.
Specification file
Use the drop-down list to select the specification file if it is in the current working directory, or browse for it in another location by clicking the Browse button. A new file may also be created by typing the name of the new file in the textbox.
Scenario ID
Use the drop-down list to select the ID file, or create a new one by clicking the New icon.

Note: The specification file (*.coe_spec
) is used to store the parameters used in defining estimated drilling costs.
Depth Threshold
This defines the downhole depths that the associated Unit Cost will be applied to when calculating the estimated drilling costs.
Unit Cost
This defines the cost (in currency as defined in Workbench Preferences) per DG1 unit that will be applied to the associated Distance Threshold when calculating the estimated drilling costs.
Example
Let's take the specification parameters given below to manually demonstrate how the calculation will be applied to a planned drillhole with a length of 350 m.
