Updating a Drive Model

Whenever you have new data for an underground drive, you can update the model, follow the procedures below.

1. Load the existing scan and new data into the same view window and locate where they overlap.

2. View the existing drive from the side and select the area around the end with (Select facets).

3. Press Delete to remove the end facets and re-open the end of the drive.

4. Create a loop surface from the new scan data, as with creating a drive model. For the first loop, select a narrow band of points near the end of the existing scan. See step 1 of Modelling Underground Drives.

   Note:  When creating the surface, click Apply to leave the Loop Surface tool open.

5. Select the new surface and the existing drive surface, then click OK to create a new loop wrap surface between them.

6. Select the area where the surfaces meet with (Select facets), then merge the surfaces with Edit > Fix > Join and Close.
