Analysis menu contents
This section provides an overview of the Analysis submenu.
Use the Assign option to convert Vulcan objects, such as lines representing faults, to records in the structural database. Each object can then be used as a 3D structural object representing the structural record that it has been assigned to.
Use the Contour option to contour the structural data displayed on a stereonet.
Use the Create option to enter manually structural data in either the Primary or Stereonets Windows.
Use the Daylight Windows option to create daylight and toppling windows, as well as friction cones for display on a stereonet.
Use the Group option to group structural data under the same fault name or flagging field.
The Ungroup option to clear any structural data groupings that were assigned through the Group option.
Use the Slope option to create structural data objects, in either the Primary or Stereonets Window, that represent the slope of the triangles contained in a triangulated surface model.
Use the Transfer option to transfer objects from the Stereonets or Rose Diagram Windows into the Primary Window.
Use the Identify option to display, in the Report Window of Vulcan, the information contained in the structural database for a nominated structural object. The option can be used in either the Primary or Stereonets Window.
Use the Highlight option to highlight structural data in either the Primary or Stereonets Windows. The structural data, represented by structural symbols, can be graphically changed, for example shadowed in the other window (view).
Use the Zone option to highlight the structural data in either the Primary or Stereonets Windows by a minimum distance.
Use the Annotate option to label structural data in either the Primary or Stereonets Window.
