This section describes the options available under the Files submenu including the loading and saving of default settings and the loading and selection of polygons for reserving. Saving commands into macro files is also explained.
This section describes the available reserves options such as the standard reserves (reserves reporting), property reserves and block reserves. Report defaults can also be set through this submenu.

This section describes the options that can be used to change the mining/target direction and then to quickly perform reserve calculations on the changed polygon.
Use the Reload Model option to reread the specification files and check the data directory for grid models. The effect of this option is the same as if you were to exit Vulcan and then restart Vulcan and Rsvute, except that all of the reserving polygons are still loaded.
Use the Display Polygons option to display buffered polygons with connection lines.
Use the Display Quad Tree option to display the reserve run extents on-screen.
Use the Remove Underlay option to select underlays to remove from the screen.
Use the Clear All Rsvute Underlays option to remove all Rsvute items from the screen.

This section contains reserve calculations techniques. The techniques include reserve calculations from limit polygons with conventional burdens, reserve calculations using grid masks with mining burden units and reserve calculations using benching and batters.
