Model menu contents

Overview

This section gives an overview of the Model module and describes some of the advantages and disadvantages of using particular modelling techniques.

Grid Mesh Surfaces

This section describes how to create grid mesh surface models from displayed coordinate data or Vulcan grid models. Contouring and masking options are also included.

Triangle Files

This section describes tools for manipulating triangulation files.

Triangle Utility

This section describes a host of tools for contouring, slicing, creating new triangulations based on existing ones and editing triangulations. The utilities apply to both 2D and 3D triangulations.

Triangle Surface

This section describes how to create, analyse, expand or edit 2D triangulations.

Triangle Solid

This section describes how to create 3D solid triangulations, analyse the volumes in those triangulations and, if a block model is available, obtain reserves in the triangulations.

Triangle Edit

This section describes the options that can be used to check triangulations for inconsistencies and options that correct or remove the problem areas.

Triangle Attributes

This section describes triangulation attributes functionality.

Image Registration

This section describes the options that can be used to create an ireg file, which can be used as textures on triangulations. You can also use this module to create a Vulcan triangulation and image registration from a DXF file and associated image.

Primitives

This section describes the options that allow you to create, edit and assign primitives.

Contouring

This section describes how contours can be generated. Contours can be applied to both grids and triangulations. Modflow. Modflow simulates groundwater flow in the aquifer using a block-centreed-finite-difference technique to solve the partial differential equation.

Modflow Grid

This section contains descriptions of Modflow tools.

Remove

Use the remove option to remove a nominated triangulation or grid mesh from the screen.

Merge Surface Models

Use this option to vary the resolution of surface models (grids or triangulations) to reflect the input data and combine multiple models into a single multi-resolution surface.
