Section menu contents
This section provides an overview of the Section submenu.
The Set Up option to set the default parameters that are used by the options under the Section submenu.
The Open Working Layer option to define a working layer. All section design work generated through the Section submenu will be placed in this layer.
The Close Working Layer option to close and save the current working layer. All associated sections and profiles will be removed from the screen.
The Create Section option to create reference section lines.
The Create Profile option to add new surfaces by digitising.
The Create Slice option to create a block slice for the plane defined by a section line.
The Strat Profile option allows you generate a series of profiles of the stratigraphic models for a given section line.
The Surface Profile option to generate a profile of any loaded triangulation along a selected section line.
The Section View option to view a section and any profiles that have been generated along the section line.
The Plan View option to return from the Section View option's 2D window to the Plan view in the normal 3D window.
The Section Visibility option allows individual or multiple section reference lines to be made visible or invisible.
The Profile Visibility option allows individual or multiple profiles to be made visible or invisible.
The Analyse option provides detailed information on objects and their points, for example enclosed area of an object, co-ordinates of vertices in both section and plan, grade of segments.
The Axes option to place a temporary grid or set of axes in the current Section view.
The Annotate option to annotate sections or profiles in the current Section view.
The Rename Section option to rename a section reference line.
The Delete option to delete any section reference lines and/or profiles.
The Edit Point option to append, delete, insert or move a point in a profile string.
