Data Sources

Click the Open Data Source icon to open a browser window, allowing you to select a data source. There is no limit to the number of data sources that can be opened. As each data source is open, it will appear in the Explorer Visibility Pane.

Important:  When importing data from a CSV file, it is important to make sure that there are no empty columns. Empty columns can cause issues with certain options within Vulcan Data Analyser that may result in unexpected behavior.

Create Data Modifiers

Once a data source has been selected from those listed within the Explorer Visibility Pane, the New Filter, New Transformation, and New Weight icons will be activated. Clicking on either of these icons will initiate the filter or transformation windows where the parameters for each can be set.

Apply Data Modifiers

After the parameters have been set up, the data modifiers can be applied by selecting the desired filter or transformation from the drop-down list and then clicking on the Apply Filter, Apply Transformation, or Apply Weight icons. The modified data will be listed in the Data Explorer pane.
