Edit Point
Edit a Point in a Profile
The Edit Point option to append, delete, insert or move a point in a profile string.
Note
This option is only available in Section view.
Instructions
- Select Geotech menu
- Select Section submenu
- Select Edit Point option
The Point Edit dialog box displays.
Append
You will be required to select the object (profile) to append to. Once selected, you will then need to nominate a point on the line. A point close to the start of the line will append points before the line, and a point near the end of the line will append at the end of the line.
Once selected, you then need to indicate a series of one or more points to be appended. Cancel when finished adding points. You will then be asked to confirm the merge.
Delete
You will be required to select the object (profile) to delete points from. Once selected, you will then need to select a point from the highlighted profile.
Once selected, you will then be asked to confirm the deletion.
Insert
You will be required to select the object (profile) to insert points into. Once selected, you will then need to select a line segment in the profile that will be replaced.
Once selected, you will then need to digitise one or more points to be inserted. Cancel when finished inserting points. You will then be asked whether or not you want to interpolate these points. Upon confirmation, you are asked to confirm the insertion.
Move
You will be required to select the object (profile) containing the point to be moved. Once selected, you will then need to select the point to move before indicating its new position.
Once selected, you are then asked to confirm the move.
Move INT
Similar to the Move option, however, instead of selecting the new position for the point you must select two line segments. The point position is then interpolated between the two line segments.
