Plot
Plot all geotechnical structural data
The Plot option to select all structural data, in either the 3D display (Primary) window or Stereonets window, for inclusion in a plot file.
Tip
Before using this option, ensure that the display properties of the stereonet or rose diagram are set to visible (see Geotech > Display ). For the best results, we also recommend that you use the Annotate option (under the Geotech > Analysis submenu) prior to running the Plot option.
Instructions
- Select Geotech menu
- Select Utilities submenu
- Select Plot option
The following panel displays. If you are currently in the Stereonets window, then you will be prompted to update the display of the Stereonets before the Create Plot panel displays. This is to allow you to make a Stereonet visible (only visible objects may be plotted). Cancel when finished updating display.
The following panels and prompts depend upon whether you have chosen to use an existing or default drafting sheet.

If you have enabled the Use Plot All defaults checkbox (through the Plot All section of the Tools > Preferences option), and this is the first time that you are using the Plot option in the current Vulcan session, then the panels and prompts displayed will reflect your specified plot defaults.
