Surface Profile
Generate a Profile of a Triangulation
The Surface Profile option to generate a profile of any loaded triangulation along a selected section line. The section line or long section line must have been generated in the Create Section option.
Note
This option can only be used when in Plan View.
Instructions
- Select Geotech menu
- Select Section submenu
- Select Surface Profile option
The Profile dialog box displays. If multiple triangulations are loaded, then you will first be asked to select the desired surfaces to be profiled.
Single Section
You will be required to pick a section from the screen. The profiles will be generated for each of the selected triangulated surfaces along this section line. You may then select another section.
Multiple Sections
Allows you to create profiles along multiple sections. Selecting this option displays the following panel.
Section name pattern
Enter the name of the sections for which the profiles are to be generated. Wildcards (* multi-character wildcard or % single character wildcard) may be used.
For example, PRE* to profile all sections whose name start with PRE.
Select OK.
If the pattern is valid, then the profiles will be generated for each of the triangulated surfaces and for each of the section and long section lines matching the pattern. All other profiles for non-matching sections are left unchanged.
