Open Database

Open a structural database

The Open Database option to open and initialise a structural database so structural data can be displayed. The initialisation process involves the creation of stereonets and rose diagrams in the Stereonets and Rose Diagrams Windows respectively.

Instructions

• Select Geotech menu
• Select Display submenu
• Select Open Database option

The following panel displays.

The database is opened and the structural environment initialised.

Notes :

• The Open Database option can be selected more than once, allowing data from more than one structural database to be displayed at the same time.
• There is no corresponding 'Close' option because the structural database is opened and closed by Vulcan as required, once it has been initialised by this option.
