Overview

The options under the Analysis submenu require that a structural database exists and that it is opened.

The options may be applied in either the Primary or Stereonets Window. The options allow you to perform interactive interpretation and analysis of the structural geological information displayed. For example, structural data in a polygon could be highlighted in the Primary Window, then projected onto a stereonet in the Stereonets Window. Once there it can be annotated according to selected fields in the structural database, highlighted using field values from the structural database and grouped under the same fault name.

Refer to the Terminology section for a definition of a Stereonet or Rose diagram. Any object in the Stereonets or Rose Diagram Window can be transferred to the Primary Window to allow the display and plotting of stereonet and rose diagram data alongside the 3D representation.
