Split Pit

On the Open Pit menu, point to Open Pit Solids, then click Split Pit to display the following panel.

Parent folder for results

This folder will hold the resulting solid triangulations of the Split Pit option.  Select a folder from the drop-down list or enter the name of new folder.

Note:   Be sure to include the file extension .tri when you provide the name of the Parent folder for results.  This will ensure that the folder will be automatically located with the triangulations folders in the Explorer Panel. If you do not include the file extension the folder will still be created.  However, it will not be visible in the Explorer Panel.  It will be saved to your current working directory. To add it to the list of triangulation folders in the Explorer Panel, rename the folder by adding the .tri file extension, and then clicking the Refresh icon at the top of the Explorer Panel.
